About ParPass & methodology
ParPass is a neutral, city-by-city database of golf season passes and discount cards, with a break-even calculator. We help public-course golfers decide whether a pass pays off. We are not a course, a city, or a pass seller.
Where the data comes from
- Official pages only: city parks departments, municipal golf sites and the course operators' own pass and rate pages. Each row stores the source URL and the date we last verified it.
- Dynamic-pricing courses (Denver, Sacramento, Las Vegas, Tucson tee sheets) publish ranges or live tee sheets. We label those rows as sampled and mark confidence medium or low.
- When an official page and a course page disagree (for example Phoenix's renewal fee), we use the city page and note the conflict on the pass page.
Unknown means unknown
We never estimate a price. If an issuer does not publish a figure, the field is null in the data and shows as "Not published" on the site. Passes without a published per-round rate have no break-even number; use the calculator with your own tee-sheet price.
Currently without a computed break-even: Golf ATX Resident Card (Austin, TX), Columbus Golf Pass: Anytime (18+) (Columbus, OH), Columbus Golf Pass: Weekday (18+) (Columbus, OH), City Sampler (Anytime) 2026 (Columbus, OH), 2026 Durango Hills Golf Card (Las Vegas, NV).
How break-even is computed
- Rate-difference passes and cards: pass price ÷ (rate without − rate with), rounded up to whole rounds.
- Unlimited passes: the "with" rate is $0 green fee; cart or extra fees stay in both columns when we include a cart.
- Prepaid bundles (e.g. pay for 8, play 10): price ÷ regular rate, capped at the rounds in the bundle.
- Points programs (Denver): the rebate percentage is derived from the issuer's own points formula; break-even = price ÷ (rate × rebate).
- "Up to X% off" cards: shown as dollars of spend needed (price ÷ X), because the real discount per tee time varies.
- Taxes, booking fees, cart fees, bonus rounds and merchandise discounts are listed but not netted in, unless stated in the scenario.
Resident vs. non-resident
Many city programs have separate resident and non-resident prices, or require a residency card to unlock the resident rate (San Diego). We show both prices where published and say clearly when a card is not available to non-residents.
Freshness
Passes are verified on the date shown on each page. Rates and pass terms change, often at the start of a season. The dataset is also available as JSON with its schema.
Independence
ParPass is not affiliated with any golf course, city or issuer. Listings are never ranked by who pays. See disclosure and advertise / list your pass.
